I don't know why I am always filled with this vain hope after exams.
Take, for instance the chinese paper yesterday. I mean, I left 15 marks blank yet I can't seem to get the thought out of my head that I'm going to score 70-80 for the main paper. And why I am so hopeful about paper 1 even though I know I screwed it up pretty badly?
Then today math paper I'm 90% sure that we got cheated of 5-10 minutes. I have no idea what phuan was trying to pull. Likewise, I still have this unrealistic hope of getting 36-37 for math despite the fact that 31-32 would be more accurate.
I think I wrote quite a lot for IHS, but my arguments were off and I didn't have time to finish the last question.
Well, all this false hope just makes it more painful when I get those papers back.
So let's settle this once and for all:
Chinese Paper 1
Hoping for: 14-15 + 33-34 = 47 to 49 /70
Realistic: 11-12 + 29-30 = 40 to 42 / 70
Difference: 7 marks upon 70, or 10%
Chinese Paper 2
Hoping for: 30 + 10 + 10 + 12 + 12 = 74/110
Realistic: 29 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 8 = 55/100
Difference: 19/110, or 17.3%
IHS
Hoping for: 4 + 6 + 4 + 5 = 19/20
Realistic: 16/20
Difference 3/20, or 15%
Core Math
Hoping for: All except 6(b) correct = 38/40
Realistic: around 31/40
Difference: 17.5%
And of course, I am filled with mad dreams of scoring in excess of 75% for the last 4 killer tests.
