fake it till you make it
i am going to attempt to pull off the most audacious coup in the history of my schol life. i am going to write 5 pages of book review without having read a single page. what am i going to write? obviosuly, i can't write nuts about the content. so i will stir the pot a bit and distract the teacher from the obvious fact that i don't know anything about the book. i will attempt to write 5 pages of stuff so utterly controversial that the lack of content will be ignored.
anyway. i was supposed to have handed in the book review on little tree 2 weeks ago. but hardly anyone did at that point in time. last wenesday or thursady, i went with 4 others to ask for an extension at the co-op. well with our bags and all (plus the mass of joash), we were chased out and we had to settle the situation outside. well anyway, the situation was as follows:
the 5 ppl asking for extension: eliel, elliot, joash, ted kin and myself.
- joash claimed to have some church seminar stuf for the entire weekend so he got extension till friday
- elliot was on page 4. he is also well know for his ability to write amounts of bullshit and make it sound convincing. i refer you to his blog
- ted kin was on chapter 7. enough said.
- eliel had an extra friday afternoon of 6 hours to do this crap
which leaves me.
my schedule for the weekend
friday afternoon: SJAbs until 6.30
saturday morning: tuition until 11.30. by the time got back and had lunch and turned omn the com it was like 2pmsaturday afternoon: did zhouji, read some stuff [NOTE: NOT THE BOOK I WAS SUPPOSED TO REVIEW] and attempted to finish up my overdue POD essay
satuday evening: had to call my parents and then went out for dinner. got back at 10pm.
sunday morning: went to church till 12.30sunday afternoon: lunch. got back at around 2.30 pm. finally finished POD essay and sent it out. at this point in time, and for most of saturday afternoon, i was navigating using the keyboard because my mouse had run out of batteries, which greatly slowed things down.
sunday evening: had to call my parents again; then after dinner i finally started to work on thissunday night; my internet connectiong got disabled at 11.02 pm. again.
well, back to the point. i said i was going to make my 5 pages controversial. teachers like controversial stuff (i think they also like to argue. except that you can never win.)
i remember in sec 1 when i did my ISO on controversial goals in soccer. i got 6x 1's and 5x 2's.
likewise, tien is doing his ISO this year on writers and their works under the influence of drugs. fab is doing his on the debate between creation and evolution. if they manage to pull those 2 projects off successfully, i can assure you that i will see at least one of them presenting at ISO sharing during the post-exam activities
good luck to me.
