CASL? WHAT CASL?
right. this is a blog post about CASL, made on request by one of my loyal fans.
so here are the facts
1. CASL is a waste of time - remember, anything you do in CASL is not supposed to benefit yourself directly or indirectly. so you are not allowed to get anything out of it. since your project is not allowed to help yourself we're not expected to learn anything from it because as they all like to claim "learning is a benficial process. it helps you get ahead in life etc etc". therefore learning benefits you so we can't learn from CASL. so if we don't learn or gain anything from CASL (as we're nto supposed to) then what good can it possibly be? NOTHING. GAIN NOTHING = WASTE OF TIME.
2. CASL is a waste of money - secret to the universe: TIME = MONEY. hence since we waste time, we also waste money. also, we should take other factors into consideration, such as transport, cost of living index, travel insurance, pension, inflation, family size, etc etc.
3. no one has a passion for CASL.- CASL is supposed to be something we're passionate about and willing to put a lot of time and effort in. but since no one cares about CASL since it won't, can't and is not allowed to benefit us, there is obviously NOTHING to be passionate about. apparently we are supposed to develop a passion for something that will never benefit us in any way and we are also expected to put huge amounts of time and effort into this
4. too many conditions - uh, how are we supposed to come up with anything if almost everything is not allowed. the teachers hardly show any consistency when assessing the feasibility of a CASL project. for more info on this, go see fab's blog.
5. what am i going to do for CASL? - i don't know, nor do i care
