now, when you thought it couldn't get any worse...

SJAB starts at 2.30 pm every friday. school is dimissed at 12.40 on friday. that means everyone could easily be there by 1.20 pm. which means we waste 1 hr 10 min every week.

but that's not all.

SJAB lasts for 4 hours. here is a breakdown of what they should be doing:

- fall in/attendance taking -- 10 minutes
- drill -- 60 minutes
- break -- 15 minutes
- leacture/first-aid prac, whatever other nonsense they have -- 40 minutes
- PT -- 30 minutes
- attendance taking/debrief/dismissal -- 20 minutes

total time: 175 minutes, or 2 hours 55 minutes.

so we see that SJAB could easily be finished in 3 hours instead of 4. so if they start at 1.20 as they should, everything could be leaving by 4.30 every week (incl. changing time). meaning that we save TWO hours a week.

but this is what they do instead:

- fall in/attendance taking -- 25 minutes (due to starting late and etc. in fact this used to be even slower but has improved this year)
- drill -- 80 minutes (practice makes perfect? but if you keep practicing the wrong thing, you'll never get anywhere)
- break -- 2 minutes (enough said)
- lecture, etc -- 60 minutes (bad attitude)
- PT -- 45 minutes (torture and sadism)
- attendance/debrief/dismissal -- 38 minutes

...which ensures that we always get dismissed at least 10 minutes late.

time is money. don't waste my time.
