Richard

now, a post on the teacher everyone has heard so much about seems in order.
Mr. Ng Teck Seng, more commonly known as Richard, was the sec 2.14 normal chinese teacher, and most probably, the greatest chinese teacher we have ever seen.

among his achievements:

- manipulating the grades such that a disproportionately large amount of the class scored A1's and A2's
- having to teach 5 lessons in 3 periods (before a test), which is quite astounding given the unfeasibly large number of chinese periods we have. however, he failed to accomplish this, only managing to complete 4 of the 5.
- before the test, when we complained to him (in an attempt to get the test postponed), he said "ok, take out your shuo ce. i'll tell you which words are going to be tested in the tian xie han zi" and they were tested.
- announcing words for ting xie 5 minutes before the event itself

what he's famous for:
- his 'smoking' and drug-sniffing impersonation of a certain former ACS(I) dean
- closing both eyes to most of the class openly cheating during ting xie
- closing one eye to people cheating of tests. (most notably a person with a rather large stomach who helped JH to fill in several marks worth of answers on the 1st page)
- not giving any homework
- giving out assignments in class for 'classwork', and then giving us all the answers later after complaints of not being able to understand anything.
- not teaching us to write a gong han
- writing numerous zuo wens and ying yong wens for us, which we were supposed to do on our own. (same marks for everyone)
- his treatment of joash
