today, i went for the annual sec 2 chessclub tournament (7 rounds).  after winning the first 4 rounds rather unconvincingly, i lost to wei cheng in round 5. i quickly agreed to a draw with kia hua in round 6 which on hindsight, proved to be a hasty decision as i was paired in the last round with joshua loh. after blundering many times, i finally lost, ending with 4.5 points, and 4th place among the sec 2's. no.1 was wei cheng, no. 2 was joash and no. 3 went to an unknown who did not in any way deserve it (solkoff was 23 while the rest of top 5 were 30 or more)....how unfair
